Durga Bari was founded to foster Indian Bengali culture within the diverse and ever-evolving demographic and fabric of the United States of America communities. Our guiding principle is rooted in inclusivity. We welcome all individuals irrespective of nationality, gender, sexual orientation, or race while striving to be recognized as equal members of this global village, free from discrimination or prejudice.
As we embark on our inaugural year, we are excited to introduce ourselves with a grand celebration of Durga Puja. Looking ahead to 2025 and beyond, we are committed to hosting additional events annually, each thoughtfully paired with a charitable cause. The possibilities for making a difference are boundless, and we warmly welcome the community to share their connections, passions, and ideas for meaningful opportunities.
Dear Durga Bari Members, imagine donating the proceeds from, say, our traditional Saraswati (the Hindu Goddess of Knowledge & Intellect) Puja celebrations to a New Jersey-based organization committed to underserved or special needs children by funding a “back-to-school program” for 100 or 200 children (funds permitting).
